Aransat Orange Wine 750ml

Borgo Savaian Aransat is an orange wine from the Friuli region of Italy, produced by the family winery Borgo Savaian di Bastiani Stefano:

1. Tasting notes: A savory, nutty wine with notes of bruised peach, tea, cashews, citrus, apricot, apple, stone fruit, orange bitters, pine, and minerals
2. Production: Made from a blend of 90% Pinot Grigio and 10% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, fermented for 90 days on the skins using native yeast
3. Farming: Organic and sustainably farmed
4. Pairing: Goes well with mushroom dishes, smoked salmon, aged cheese, and white meats
5. Alcohol by volume: 13%

The name "Aransat" is Friulian slang for "orange-colored". The winery is located near the foothills of Colli Goriziani, 3 miles west of Slovenia. The family behind the winery has been farming for three generations and is committed to using indigenous grape varieties.
