Sassaia Barolo 750ml

Sassaia Barolo is a red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy, made from Nebbiolo grapes. It has a garnet red color and a refined bouquet and taste. Some say it has notes of:

Violets, Red cherries, Bitter sweet dark chocolate, Liquorice, Tobacco, Truffles, Pepper, Cherry, Raspberry, and Leather.

Barolo wines are known for being full-bodied, with high tannins and acidity, and a classic "tar and rose" aroma. The aging process in oak casks gives the wine a lot of flavor.

Barolo wines are made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the area and must be aged for at least 38 months, with 18 months spent in oak or chestnut barrels. The Sassaia winery is located in Capriata d'Orba, Upper Monferrato Piedmont, and its name means "rock bed"
